Helping People Make Healthy Choices
In the spring of 1992 a small group of ladies met with a representative from the LIGHT HOUSE, a maternity home in Kansas City, to discuss opening a Crisis Pregnancy Center in the Cass County area. The Cass County Ladies Auxiliary raised the $14,000 needed to open the Center.

On October 18. 1992 the Center opened with a Director and 26 volunteer counselors. The Center formed its own local Board of Directors and became independent from the LIGHT HOUSE in 1994.

In 1998 we changed our name to Life Choice Center for Women, and in October of 1999, with the addition of a physician as our Director of Medical Services, we became a Medical Clinic.

Life Choice Center for Women is a non-profit, non-denominational ministry and medical clinic for women in crisis situations. A crisis situation could mean anything from an unplanned pregnancy to a financial crisis for a woman and her children.

Our Center is staffed by Registered Nurses and volunteers who have a true concern for the women in our community. as well as for the family and friends of someone involved in a crisis situation. Our Counselors are trained in crisis intervention and offer an atmosphere of confidentiality. We offer Biblical counseling in all areas. ALL OF OUR SERVICES ARE FREEl We are financed by donations from the private sector.

Volunteer Information:

Volunteers are needed for:

• Confidential counseling with clients
• Receptionist type work (answering phones, filing papers, etc.)
• Cleaning
• Praying for clients
• Serving as a Life Choice Center for Women contact person for your church or organization
• Organizing independent fundraisers for the ministry (such as bake sale, garage sale, diaper drive, baby shower, etc.) If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact the Life Choice Center for Women!
• Volunteer to help at larger fund raising events.
